Points of Interest

  • Star Ferry – for over a century this ferry has been used to transport both locals and tourists between Hong Kong Island and Kowloon. Although there are now alternate methods of travelling between the two points, millions of passengers still opt for the scenic route. Due to the stunning view of Hong Kong Harbour from the ferry, along with its high efficiency and reliability, there is no wonder that this mode of transport has stood the test of time and thrives to this day.   • Victoria Peak – if you are yet to appreciate the sheer magnitude of beautiful Hong Kong by simply exploring the streets, then a change of perspective will certainly be a welcome solution. Sat at 1818 feet, Victoria Peak gives a staggering look at the whole Hong Kong Skyline, boasting tremendous views for miles on a clear day, and a mesmerising scene of illuminated Hong Kong at night.   • Disneyland – this park continues to provide an exciting day out for people of all ages and tastes. With a number of rides exclusive to this park and seven different themed lands throughout Disneyland to experience during the day, followed by spectacular parades and light shows that illuminate the sky at night. Access to this park is facilitated by its own stop on the MTR (Mass Transit Railway).
  • Ocean Park – Any visit to Hong Kong would not be complete without a trip to this world famous park. Featuring not only a number of fascinating aquatic attractions such as aquariums and dolphin performances at the popular Ocean Theatre, the park also includes other animal exhibits, such as Australian wildlife, and a rare opportunity to see Panda bears, making a visit to this park a truly unmissable experience.
  • Stanley – This town is a tourist hotspot due to a number of attractions, such as its waterfront promenade, with many bars and restaurants so you can dine with a beautiful view; its beaches, where you can soak up the sun and even have a barbecue; and the Stanley Market, this popular market is an ideal place to purchase souvenirs or gifts for your loved ones, as it contains hundreds of traditional Chinese products and makes for an interesting and exciting experience. There are also several restaurants serving various different types of cuisine in a welcoming atmosphere, making it a tremendously entertaining day out.
  • Getting Out of the City - Despite being known as a vast, concentrated City, Hong Kong presents visitors with easy access to outdoor activities including beaches and hiking in Country Parks as a break from the hustle and bustle of the vibrant City.

The outlying Islands including Lamma and Lantau are easily accessible by ferry (and in the case of Lantau an amazing cable car trip from Tung Chung). The Islands offer an amazing opportunity to escape the City and experience an alternative side of Hong Kong including lovely countryside, beaches and a very different way of life.

Even Hong Kong Island itself has beautiful Country Parks and hiking opportunities as well as some nice beaches on the South of the Island. Middle Bay (close to Repulse Bay served by various bus routes) is very popular with the LGBT community and has a beach bar/restaurant. South Bay which is the next Beach after Middle Bay is a gorgeous beach which also attracts a number of LGBT visitors.
