Though there is no specific gay area in Hong Kong as such, there are a number of LGBT and LGBT-friendly establishments throughout Hong Kong and Kowloon. There is a cluster of gay venues in Sheung Wan, including Queen’s Cafe, Volume, Zoo and Wink, as well as a number of boutique hotels in the area. There are also various gay and gay-friendly establishments in Central.  However, with the efficiency and affordability of the public transport, staying in accommodation in a different location is inconsequential.
